Awesome chop!!! I think us as women we tend to grow up always living under our hair..there's so many beautiful quotes about how our hair is beautiful or the crown things like that so we tend to take extra pride in it and it can become somewhat of an issue as we mature and go through life, I first chopped my hair really short back when I was 14 trying to find myself my identity my style and so forth and I regreated it A LOT, So I grew it out and then after my first pregnancy I was 21 and cut it like Kris Jenner and I also regretted it and after thinking things through I realized I cut my hair alot when I'm emotionally down about myself because it was easy to get somewhat of a change or result. I have gone through so moments in life where I just needed some direction and guidance...not saying that's where u are or anyone else just for myself... Just last year I cut my hair very short again not shaved but close and as it grew out I decided to shave the bottom and now I'm growing it out but i've come to terms that it's just my hair and it grows back Everytime and its healthier and more soft...I've learned alot about dealing with my emotional issues and body possitivity and self acceptance. These days I enjoy the hair cut journey of styling it as it grows out and having fun trying new looks this is the real me I don't like being stuck with a hair style I like change and sometimes if drastic and sometimes its not but either way I like mixing it up and I'm happy with who I am...the girl with a different hair style color or length?. I really enjoyed ur video on this topic because I think alot of us go through this kinda thing and feel alone and can use a friend who they can relate to...thanks @samanthamariaofficial

@samanthamariaofficial Love this look!! I’m trying to convince my ma to get this cut done! Absolutely stunning! So inspiring! I know as a mixed girl who has natural hair that it can be hard knowing what way to have my hair that others aren’t going to judge you for. Either having it straight or having it natural. So I loved your video and relate to the topics you raised. Don’t let others get you down ! ❤️??

@samanthamariaofficial I have been a quiet follower of yours for just about a decade now. What a beautiful video about identity and hair. I did a BC in 2013. I also was going through a lot of things, and the cut felt so good emotionally. Thank you for always being candid. Thank you for telling your truth. You are such a brave and beautiful woman, please don’t ever forget that. ❤️??

Amazing! Such a great explanation, and you put into words what I felt when I buzzed my hair. Hopefully this can encourage and empower more young people to break out of the social norms they don’t even know they’re trapped in. ❤️
