ciregroup @quincydjones Funny thing in 2015 I had just left a habit for humanity fundraiser at the Beverly Wiltshire. So before going to the hotel I stopped at the Whole Foods Market in Beverly Hills. Who did I see roaming the aisles? “Sweet Potato” I tried to get his attention a little did I know Jacqueline was on his wing saying to Clarance “you don’t hear this gentleman trying to get your attention”? I said Clarence we were at Jimmy Fallon talking about you on Monday and here it is on Friday and I’m seeing you in the flesh. He was humbled by our encounter. When I got back to the hotel I called a friend and mentioned who I just bumped into at the Market. Then my friend says to me I bet that was the first time you met “The Black Godfather” Now to see this doc and your doc on Netflix I watched them both “ Back To Back” Like “Back on the Block” ??

Though your music having influenced & inspired me and others our whole lives, the true historical, cultural and communal impact people like you @quincydjones & #clarenceavant had and still have, is only now being fully revealed thanks to these beautifully insightful and educational documentaries.
