In 2016 I was out in LA taping @greatesthitsabc and had a morning off in the filming schedule and was dying to write. I cold messaged @leland because I was such a fan of the music he had written with @トロアイ・シヴァン and asked if he could on a whim write the next day. He called David Hodges and we all ended up in the room with me spilling my guts about how I was rediscovering who I was and finding so much strength in that. I am just beyond words grateful that it is the NUMBER ONE song in country music this week. More than the chart position, however, I’m proud that this message got the megaphone of the radio. I hope it has made you feel empowered, confident, sassy, and not alone. We worked very, very hard to get this song here. This hit home for me so much I can't even tell you. Unfortunately my ex works where I live. So I play this song loud & proud! ? Then you went on @nbcsongland & picked Better Luck Next Time & I am over the moon with that song. I Absolutely Love it. That song speaks volumes, like your I Miss Me More song does. onelmichele7 My 7 yr old daughter and were jamming out to this song in the car today. When it ended the announcer said it was a country station and she goes “I hate country! I only like pop.” I said, what do you think we were just listening to? Kelsea Ballerini is country. What do you think Carried Underwood sings? She goes “Oh, okay, then I only like those two.” Way to win a spot into my “country music hating” seven year old’s heart (along side Carrie Underwood). Don’t worry, I’ll convert her eventually. If the stations played more female artists she’d be a bigger fan faster!??
