I just turned 30 years old and then Chairman of @universalpictures #StaceySnider called my agent #RichardLovett to ask me to read the script for #RedDragon The prequel to #SilenceofTheLambs I was so excited because #MichaelMann had directed #ManHunter based on the same Novel #JonathanDemme directed Silence and #RidleyScott directed #Hannibal All heroes of mine. Stacey called the next day telling me I had the job if I wanted it but #DinoDelaurentiis had to approve me. I went to his house next day and he asked me “Who are you”? I said I’m Brett Ratner. He said in his deep Italian accent “yes but Who are you why does Stacey Snider want you”? I said I don’t know maybe because I’m a good director? Dino hired me and I went on to assemble in my opinion one of the greatest ensemble casts ever thanks to #TedTally’s brilliant script. Ted also won the Oscar for writing #SilenceofTheLambs #AnthonyHopkins #EdwardNorton #RalphFiennes #HarveyKeitel #PhilipSeymourHoffman RIP #EmilyWatson #Mary-LouiseParker

And me I did my first apparition on a French serie call Les Sauvages realized by Mme Rebecca Zlotoski. It was an awesome acting experience. Because I have the project to me comedian. Like Wentworth always dream to be. He win. I will win my project too. One day. @brettrat

Brett, I think I've watched Red Dragon over 10 times. You did a brilliant job. I love the behind the scenes featurette on the dvd, & your commentary as well.
