Harris County Animal Shelter in Texas desperate for help. “There is a 2 1/2 hr wait today to surrender an animal at Harris County Animal Shelter. That is how many animals we are receiving! If people can’t wait or don’t want to wait they tying them up to a tree and leaving or abandoning them in a box in our parking lot.
The shelter is caring for over 530 homeless pets – there are so many animals there that the kennels are packed with upwards of six dogs! The shelter is in desperate need of adopters and people who are willing to foster – if enough people aren’t found, the fate of these unwanted pets will be sealed.”

@mirandalambert are you bringing this walk to Houston TX? Our shelters are at maximum capacity! People leave their animals tied to trees or in boxes at the shelter due to long wait times tto register their unwated pets! It's horrible!! It'll be great to raise awareness here! Please consider this! I've adopted from Baytown animal shelter and my daughter has done an animal shelter supply drive. But we need bigger voices! @mirandalambert
