Thinking about what It looks like for corporations to find ways to even spoon feed what being proud means to us 🌈 , as if we needed someone or something outside of ourselves to show us. Let’s move into a space where we no longer need the outside to give us our inside self worth and dignity. Monetizing on our souls. Monetizing on our struggles , our history, and at the end of the day what began as hate crimes on minority or those that are Other. Moving into this month , consider the past. I know it’s best to look towards the future, but if you do not know where you came from , then how can you empathize. Empathy may be one of our deepest healers right now. Look back to the history of what the long battle was and still is on the other, on minority of all forms not just sexual orientation, so you can be informed, educated, and versed on what It means to be proud, no matter what proud looks like to you. Dissolving self hatred and guilt because something outside of you told you you were less than. That doesn’t exist. You are more than, In your authentic self.
