longjonsilvestri @willbjazz economy of scale likely. The 35mm is likely a more popular focal length than the 24 so they make more 35mm lenses, so the cost per lens to produce is less than the less popular 24mm, even though the cost of materials is probably similar.

sigmaphoto @willbjazz @kevinsuzuki7 @while_you_dream The difference is in MTF and weather sealing. 24mm and 35mm Art lenses are excellent lenses but new 28mm and 40mm Art are next level when it comes to corner-to-corner sharpness and optical performance.

while_you_dream @willbjazz seriously?! Makes no sense what’s so ever! @sigmaphoto It also makes no sense being that sigma claims that the 35mm 1.4 Art is their flagship lens so why isn’t that the most expensive?! Smh
