クリスティン・ヒルデブランドさんのインスタグラム写真 - (クリスティン・ヒルデブランドInstagram)「Last weekend when I posted that I was at my boss’ birthday party, lots of you asked who I worked for / what I was doing. Here’s the scoop: after taking classes at the Academy of Interior Design up in LA, I got a dream interview / job opportunity with a kickass developer who works all throughout the LA area. He acquires properties, guts em’, designs em’, and then rents em’ out / sells em’ for market value. He took a major risk on hiring me being that I am relatively new to the design world — in his words, “because of the great recommendation that my advisors at the interior design academy gave me, & my elite background as a professional athlete.” So here I am. At work. (My official job title? In-house designer 🤩). In an empty building being brought back to life by hardworking contractors, to be designed by me! Lil’ ol’ me! Currently I’m designing several of his properties — one in Venice Beach, one in West Hollywood, one in Culver City, and one that we just finished in Santa Monica. . Additionally — as some of you already know — I started my own interior design business, and have been in total hustle mode on that front, too. Building a biz is no joke! ☠️ 💪🏼 Every new design opportunity is super exciting and very humbling. I’m currently working with 9 different clients on really cool projects (can’t wait to share!)— one from Chicagoooo that found me via my biz insta —> (@kh.interiors ) & contacted me through my website (link is in my bio!!) to hire me to design their GORGeous home in the suburbs. This darling fam is flying me there this weekend to walk through the property to talk through design decisions / take measurements for furnishings & then I’ll work on the rest of the project remotely until the install when they’ll fly me back out to put everything we’ve ordered together. I’m so excited! I have been in total head-down grind-mode building this thing as I’ve had to start from scratch, & I know I’ve got a long way to go, but I’m proud of where I’ve come.
