A few weeks ago, @climbinsimon98 helped me make up some limit boulders on the @moonclimbing board. When I first started, I could barely hold the distance between the majority of these holds. Now I’ve stuck a few moves and am even making small links!! 😄😄 In these vids, I’m using intermediate hands and feet to ‘stick’ the moves while working towards using the holds on the original climb. The goal of limit bouldering is to find moves that are just out of my range of ability. I work up to them by subbing in closer holds or slightly better feet while still keeping the same movement. These three climbs are fairly basic: the first two are simple pulling (mirrored for consistency) and the third is extended compression. I’m still far away from ‘sending’ the lines but ultimately that’s not my motivation. These climbs help strengthen movement that is applicable to a variety of outdoor climbing, while also working on my weakness of reachy compression.

I haven’t been posting about my training the past few weeks because I’ve actually felt truly psyched on it again. I’m back on my @gnarlynutrition BCAAs and protein combo. I go into the gym, try hard, get my session done, and leave. It’s been nice to just put my head down, but I’m also stoked to share my progress!
