New York Governor Cuomo just announced that his top 10 agenda for this legislative term does not include action to mitigate the Climate Crisis. This morning I carpooled in a Chevy Volt to say this directly to camera at a last minute press conference. “I was asked to come to Albany because of the public nature of my work. I chose to come because I am as far removed as I can be from the political process that stears the personal lives and decisions of the people I came to represent: I am a working mother who understands the implications of our environmental emergency. An emergency you have failed to effectively address for too long.
That means throughout my daily life I live with trepidation for the kind of world my child will have to navigate as she grows into and first starts to claim her own life, and it’s beginning to feel, with the frighting indifference of our federal and now our state government to address this issue, that there won’t be much life to claim.

todairritadinha Good evening @msmeganboone , my name is Nicole Cardoso de Jesus, I'm Brazilian, I'm 19 and I'm in the first half of the semipresencial nursing course ... My father committed suicide on January 1st and my mother lost her job soon after and since then she works as a janitor three days a week and I had to remove a tumor in my left breast in late 2018 and I could not get a permanent job any more. I started this course because we thought we could buy everything I need, but we live by faith. I need a computer to do my work, essays and articles, since the cell phone does not support all the content I need to study and without my father and only my mother working, we can never buy one. I know it's a bit inconvenient people asking for things and donations, but I really do not know what else to do and I do not want to drop out of college. I know you work hard and I do not want to take advantage of your goodwill, but if you can bless me and invest with this computer in my studies, I will be eternally grateful. God bless you!

ec_rodriguez Hello Megan, here in Misiones, Argentina, you can still breathe nature, Iguazù Falls, which were chosen as one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the Earth, is an example of this, I am concerned that as time goes by, the excessive economic interests do not take into account this and perform actions that degrade that wonderful little ecosystem that we have, I would like that if you do not know it yet, someday you can see them, they are a marvel. jasonwesley_ Cuomo is a horrible Governor and a pandering idiot that uses New Yorkers. I drive a Tesla and the political narrative of climate change (used to be called Global Warming) is a hoax to get money and votes. America has reduced its carbon footprint more than any other country; without the Paris Accords I might add. No one says anything about China or India since this is really a Global issue.

dembemydoodle @tradd_kinney I saw a film years ago talking about India and China and what a huge issue of pollution they were causing. I walked away so disheartened like nothing we do is even going to help!
