It’s such an important topic to me as I have dealt with depression on and off due to the pressure of social media as an entrepreneur. ⠀ It has been a huge part of my life for the past 7 years and I’ve had so many ups and downs feeling drowned and overwhelmed by unrealistic standards, comparing my achievements to other companies and other people. My journey is different and unique in its own, I am so proud of what I have achieved with a team of 2!⠀ It’s been draining at times and being on my spiritual growth journey has helped me in not being eaten up and spat out by it! The power of now by Eckhart Tolle has been literally been a life saver for me. I now enjoy the here and now and the little things- like my morning cup of coffee, I savour every last drip! And don’t get me wrong, I do occasionally dip back but I sure am so much quicker at identifying it and bringing myself back up to the present, feeling my breath, hearing my thoughts, feeling my emotions, smelling the air... When you’re on a spiritual journey and know your true self, not your ego, not much can phase you! I found that sweet spot and although there are bumps along the road, life is just flowing because I am following my purpose and doing what makes ME happy and fulfilled.⠀ So please be open and honest and not just stunt for the gram.
