rowenaxue ‪Hey James, so recently I got into a lot of theoretical stuff analyzing marvel comics and movies for my bachelor thesis and film context course, and I think I finally understand why my fav marvel movies are the two GOTGs: because they are just like comics, not only for the bright colors, but that they have so much heart, and they are not afraid to be different and invest on specific emtions even when it’s not universal.‬ Because normally all the comic adapted movies needs to find universal stories so that everybody can relate in order to sell. Not saying it’s not good, I love marvel movies!!! Been to every premiere since 2012. Just that I love comics more because they have so many heart felt moments. But for GOTGs there were those moments just like reading a comic book, I cry my heart out every time I rewatch Yondu’s funeral, My whole body can’t help but dance with Groot every time I see the opening sequence of vol 2. I applaude and thank you so much for making such incredible movies. I really think you are the best director ever!!!!And a even nicer person to work with and talk to. Can’t wait for vol 3!!!?
