BOWIE’S DERAM DEBUT IS 52 TODAY -
“Did you ever have a Deram?” -
David Bowie released his first album this day in 1967, albeit lacking the fanfare of The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper, purportedly released on the same day.

titaniumboy2 How very weird is that!!!! I've been playing this album non-stop since Friday. My first Bowie single ever was Starman in 1972 and I've been a fan ever since. Saw every tour from 1976 onwards. Even Tin Machine and Iggy. The shock about him being gone is just about gone. However the beautiful memories I have of seeing him are still there. Can't stop playing There is a happy land a beautiful song about children's world where only adults aren't allowed. Just beautiful xx
