Sadly Rob Sharp, the WH&B specialist, believes that we are making them look bad by talking about a sad donkey, or showing a video of a wrangler taking off a tag, or saying they would euthanize them if we didn’t take them. So from now on they will just shoot blind, club footed, ill or injured horses. I have been sick to the stomach about this and feeling as though I have let the horses down somehow. But I think we are shining too bright a light and they want to extinguish it. 11:11 is a powerful number and we shall forever be grateful to the amazing ladies at the corrals who worked with us to get these ones safe.
