Clairement, la facilité/rapidité d’enchaînement n’a pas fait parti de mes critères dans le choix de cette voie. A l’inverse, ce qui m’a attiré était l’apprentissage d’une nouvelle gestuelle et l’adaptation progressive de mon style d’escalade pour me rapprocher de l’exécution parfaite. Au final repartir sans la petite coche dans la poche ne change en rien l’investissement et la volonté de progresser dans un style différent. Et c’est selon moi là que réside tout l’intérêt 😉 • It’s with a big smile on my face that I let go (yes, LET GO!) of my latest project “Digital System Extension” which is such a challenging 8c+ for me. Clearly, the idea of sending the route fast wasn’t a criteria of choice. At the opposite, what attracted me most was the learning process it involved and progressively adapting my climbing style to get closer to a perfect execution of the movements. In the end, going home without a send in the pocket doesn’t change the personal investment and the will to grow as a climber through a different style.
