Happy Memorial Day. Today is also an important, but sad day for me and my family. Today marks the 18th year anniversary of the passing of my older brother Joshua. He is the taller one pictured here along with me, my parents, and my grandmother’s sister down at Ocean City, NJ on a summer vacation. When my brother was 19, he died from a heroin overdose. I’m sharing this not to make everyone sad but in hopes that people can be awake enough to see the signs of addiction whether in themselves or in someone close to them, to speak up and get help. I guess with all the positive feedback we have seen with the release of our new music and accompanying music videos showing the raw, unedited side that addiction and addictive people exhibit, it’s helping me to understand that so much of us are connected to each other without realizing it. So many of us in this country either know someone close to them or you yourselves are personally dealing with issues like addiction. Thank you so much for all the support with our new music and especially the music videos. Life is for the living. Please hug someone you love today and tell them how much they mean to you.
