Hey, USA! 👋🏻 I see your country has an anti-vaccination movement, you've made strict restrictions on women's rights to make choices for their own life and bodies, you have a society who actually believes the world is flat, and your orange president is a true parody of himself who denies any human involvement in the climate crisis (we're simultaneously entertained by his utter stupidity AND absolutely horrified). Are you sure you don't want to switch to my fabulous feline dictatorship? I'm ready to save you (and indeed the world!) if beckoned. So what say you?! Be the land of the free again, not the incarcerated, opioid crisis stricken capitalists of today! (I'm sending the anti-waxers and flat earthers to the gulag though, no compromise there. There's no cure for the willfully ignorant!)
.
I'm honestly expecting to lose a few followers because of this post, but enough is enough, America! Get your shit together! The world is watching and crying for your people! Your president's decisions are affecting the whole planet, so we're crying for ourselves too! Vote wisely and kick the orange twat OUT! We KNOW you can do way better than this! (Bernie is up for grabs ffs!!!! ❤️)
.
Peace out, hope you have a good week! ✌🏻😽

@stalinthecat biodiversity loss and land degradation? Crops/grains do this much more so than animal agriculture! Cattle are on land not suitable to other farming, and they do not disrupt the environment the way crop agriculture does. Plus, if one doesn’t eat meat, than what do they have for protein? Meat protein is much more bioavailable than plants, and also much more nutritious (for less volume) than plants! The truth is that the environment suffers for ANYTHING we eat, and it is unfair to single out such a nutritious food source as meat. There is so much anti meat propaganda out there; much of it being propped up by big food companies who would prefer everyone stop eating meat and eat their replacement products instead. I recommend you check out @sustainabledish to learn more on this issue. Also @food.lies, including a very informative podcast on this very issue with Dr. Frank Mitloehner (podcast is called Peak Human, episode 41).

@stalinthecat Well we never voted for the orange 🍊 dumb self-centered ridiculous toddler in the office!😹😹😹 We can't wait till he's gone! 🙈 Im not a fan of abortion! But it should not be the kind of law that has been passed. I think there should be somewhat of rules when abortion can take place. I don't think there should be abortion after a heartbeat but it depends on the circumstances of every woman. But I do not in any way support a woman who has unprotected sex knowing she can get pregnant and then thinks it's okay just to go have an abortion! Oh and the world 🌎 is definitely not flat! 😹 lets vote a handsome kitty like you into office!😽😽

@jai_theragdoll_and_jerry An abortion actually takes a huge toll on the body while going on, noone would want to use that as their primary contraception. But sometimes condoms/pill doesn't work either. It's natural to allow all abortions up until 12-18 weeks into the pregnancy, and after that it's only allowed if the doctor thinks there might be real harm for the woman or baby. I disagree with the heartbeat, as that would mean women can't take abortion after week 5-6, when it's still just an embryo that most women won't even have noticed is there yet. Sentience is what we need to look for, and that comes way later ?

@stalinthecat how does reducing meat consumption help the environment? Animal agriculture amounts to 2% of emissions in North America. If one wants to do something for the environment, don’t drive your car, don’t waste food, reduce use of plastics. Ruminate animal contribute to topsoil health, which trap carbon. There were an estimated 100-150 bison roaming this continent once upon a time. Ruminant animals are beneficial to the earth; it’s industrial polluters and things mentioned above that can help make a difference. Mono cropping is destroying topsoil, once it’s gone it won’t come back!

@monicasisson I'm confused at how you separate crops from cattle farming. Cows need food from crops too, and way more than a human. We see deforestation of our rainforests to make room for growing soy for cows, and they also need absurd amounts of water. Water and food shortage is already a problem for people all over the world, and will only get worse as the global temperatures rise. Put the greenhouse gas emissions aside, just the deforestation and waste of water/land to feed people their beloved burgers is enough reason to reduce the meat intake. And again, that doesn't necessaeily

@benzothecat Absolutely! Discussions are always welcome here, as long as it stays relevant and without the name calling and bashing I see everywhere on the internet. Arguments and counter arguments are the only things that belong in a discussion, and we need to respect that people have differing opinions. The anti-vaccination movement however is causing real harm to those who for some reason can't take the vaccines, and I think we need to make them mandatory. It's all about herd immunity and protecting those who can't have the vaccines, whether it's about age or various health issues!
