I love artist Kate Kretz @katekretzartist for creating this “Hate Hat” from deconstructed MAGA hats because this is what I see when I see a MAGA hat. It looks like a modernized Klan hood because Trump’s appeal rests on his coddling of white entitlement and his stoking white victimhood and his hated of and repression of Black and brown people. He stands on Black and brown people’s necks to look taller to whites. He revels in the fake idea that whites are losing their place in America. “Make America Great Again” is an appeal to a return to the 1950s when straight white males were in charge and women, Blacks, gays, and immigrants were firmly beneath them. When I see the hat I feel threatened, I feel triggered, I feel hated. Kate’s work of art captures what I felt but had not fully articulated within myself. Kudos Kate.

bb_dahlings SI don't think she should have been banned. Whites thought all others were beneath them and it's leading to their demise. I don't think we should give them any of our attention. I mean boycott the establishments and organizations that are supporting this corrupt "administration." Let tge beer, wine, tobacco and NFL go. This will hit them where they care the most- their wallets. Don't let an image or symbol be so powerful that it triggers such negativity. Treat it as art- no more no less, then do your part. Stay woke.

yvonne.cannon.395 Everybody has their own viewpoint abt this Art Pic. But surely nothing is fake abt it. There is such an organization called the KKK. There shld be no denial in that. Just like it shld be no denial in what they do, and stand for. MAGA however one wants to look at it. Will never ever be the the way it use to be.
