To give you guys perspective on what we at @twoonefiveent (@blackthought #ShawnGee & myself) are up to. We pretty much had a burning desire to create a docuseries that dissects every nilc & crannie of known hip hop classics (the artist, the label, the lyrics, the sample & production, the times of its creation & the ripple effect of its release) ——in short I say this will be music’s version of ESPN’s #30For30. Our first season debuts on @amc_tv Oct 2019. Our first 6 eps will focus on 1984’s #RockBox 1986’s #TheBridge 1989’s #LadiesFirst 1995’s #ElevatorsMeAndYou 2015’s #Alright & finally on the 15th anniversary of its release 2004’s #JesusWalks. Literally breaking down every element from Ye disrupting hip hop, to all the key folk involved in its creation. Even down to the mindblowing story of the choir’s formation whose album project provided the sample source of the song. You know how much a mofo loves nerding out to music docs of this nature.
