When India Jackson (left) was given the opportunity to work as an intern at @NASA, she wasn’t sure she could afford it. Jackson, who balances raising her preteen daughter (right) with working toward a PhD in solar physics at Georgia State University, thought the move to Houston would be too expensive. That’s when her cousin set up a GoFundMe campaign, and money flooded in. The campaign stopped taking donations after reaching its $8,000 goal in just one day.
