I still really really suck, but I can understand about 2000 words know. The average 5 year old knows about 5000 words and the average adult 20-30 thousand words. So there’s a long way to go, but I can now watch lots of Japanese shows and have a good idea of what’s going on. I feel like the hardest part is behind me and it’s getting easier from here on.
