Not only is this coastal hamlet surrounded by stunning beaches and beautiful to look at, it’s also a very important spot for whales. From July to November each year, the calm waters around here provide the perfect resting spot for calving southern right whales, and further out to sea there’s one of the few locations in the world where offshore killer whales can be reliably encountered throughout the summer months. 🐋
