I just touched down at 11pm from London...... You simply asked me to come to church with you for your FIRST Mother’s Day.... groggy and tired and jet lagged.... I knew there was NO WAY I was going to not go...... I’m addicted to your smile...... If too much time goes by and I don’t see this smile I’m trying to figure out what I can DO to re-activate that smile..... Happy FIRST mother’s day to my beautiful wife..... Ladies, am I right?? We may “appear” to have it all..... I’ve learned over the years that us as men are DEEPLY flawed when it comes to the sensitives of what actually makes our significant others happy. Innately, we have the LION instinct- hustle, grind, survival, and protecting our families- I want you to notice that when we get into arguments & become defensive, our first go- to is “you see this house, the bills are paid, kids are in school- new clothes on they back, what are you complaining about?” And although these things are true & when our partners complain, we feel like those things are taken for granted. I pose the question, When is the last time you ask HER- what does she want, what parks, what beach, what is she passionate about— in my relationship- we call it OXYGEN- what can I do, say or arrange to give your partner oxygen? What makes YOU happy... What YOU feel like doing and placed YOU feel like going in most cases aren’t the things that will give your girl “OXEGEN”.... Look at the comments, fellas, most women would say that we DO have it all- but you don’t TALK to me- money & materialistic things are provided for but without genuine communication & connecting emotionally, or mental stimulation- they become like an episode of the Walking Dead. A married man of 40 years said to me, if we continue making love to the mind- then the body and heart will follow.
