Life in the wild is harsh. This photo is of an ousted male who once was a great king but now is a bag of bones scavenging off the pride he once had tenure over. Sometimes ousted males are not as lucky as this and perish before they get to this state. As humans we often get emotional seeing images like this but the truth is, life in the wild is no bed of roses.
