Today’s #RoleModelMonday is the new Miss Teen USA 2019, @kalieghgarris. Kaliegh made waves when she was crowned for rocking her natural textured hair! “When I was younger, I competed with extensions in my hair a lot- that’s how I usually styled my hair, but over time I just got more heat damage and my hair just kept getting shorter and shorter because it kept burning off,” she explained. As someone who has dealt with the exact same struggles, it is so refreshing to see someone represent the crown, while wearing their natural crown! Thank you for showing us girls with textured hair that is ok to be our natural selfs.
