During the week I popped in to see Paula who was helping run an #InternationalDayOfTheMidwife event, where I gave a talk about my experiences with post-birth PTSD with Darcy, but then had a beautifully healing positive delivery with Pearlie. I met midwives, charity leaders, positive birth advocates and more. Truly an amazing experience. . I think we should always celebrate the work midwives do, but today, May 5th, is extra special as it is International Day of the Midwife! @Pampersuk_ire recognise and appreciate the role midwives play in every baby’s development and as part of their support to these amazing women they are making over as many staff rooms across the country; so that the midwives have a lovely space to take a hard earned break! .
