Once upon a time in the early nineties, I heard African voices on a cd that was being played in a store in Amsterdam. An intense man’s voice and I didn’t know how else to describe it than African Angelic Sistervoices. 👼🏾I asked if I could have the name of the cd. And discovered @keita_salif - It led to this uncontrollable urge to know more about my roots, the world, Africa, me.. because how could this music from #Mali feel so familiar and touch me so deeply! He became a legend to me and 25 years later, he’s a guest on my programme. Simply amazing. So I had to tell him on camera that he has meant a great deal! MUSIC IS A POWERFUL THING!!!
