The L-2B Loose Flight Jacket is based off of the silhouette of the iconic U.S. Military issue L-2B flight jacket. The L-2B, which was originally introduced in the early 1950s, replaced the lightweight leather flying jackets that were worn by Air Force personnel while they flew in mild temperature zones.
