So when I see a kid fishing my eyes light up. I mean look at the smile on @eli_haack_5 and this chunk: Alright im going to go on a tangent now, I apologize but it’s fitting for this post. So I had 15 minutes before I had to pick up my kids from school today so I swung by a local pond to take a few casts. As I pulled up I saw a young kid fishing alone and struggling with a tangled line, he might of been 11. I didn’t even take my rod out of the truck I went over asked if he had any luck and if I could help, he said yes please (love polite kids). After pulling a lot of line out I made the call to cut his losses. He didn’t have pliers so I grabbed my @line_cutterz ring and said use this, he was in aww that it cut and I let him keep it. He got his line back on, I showed him a palomar knot and he was ready to go. I didn’t fish I just talked to him about fishing and he even gave me some tips on where he’s had luck. Before I knew it I had to pick up my kids, I ran to my truck gave him a Filthy hat and he was so grateful and excited, day made. If you see a kid fishing, I challenge you to talk to them, teach them something you wish you would have known at a young age. I always say it costs nothing to be kind and it honestly brightened up my day probably more than his.
