It’s opening night and I am in the dressing room that I share with Lola Kelly and Brian Wallace thinking about what an extraordinary journey it has been for all of us to get to this place. It’s been over a month of intense preparation and a rehearsal process that has completely taken over my life in the most amazing way. This play has challenged me beyond anything I ever imagined as a performer and I am grateful for the experience. Theatre is something I’ve always wanted to try, I just didn’t expect my first introduction to be at the level of Dostoyevsky’s ‘Crime and Punishment’. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith and try something new. So here we go...

It's a pity I can't see it! I am Russian and a fan of Russian classical literature. It would be interesting to compare my understanding of the text to yours! Have you read the biography of Dostoevsky, why he wrote in such a dark manner? He was almost executed by a firing squard for conspiring against tsar Nicolas I. Tsar wanted him and his friends to feel how miserable they were. So at the last moment they were pardoned and sent to Siberia. Some of Dostoevsky's friends went mad after that. Wish I could see you in this play @michaeltrevino - I find camera acting more challenging than theatre, probably because I started with theatre.
