ABSOLUT HARLEY I shot this in 1990 and pitched it to TBWA, the ad agency that handled ABSOLUT VODKA. They loved it, but thought that MADD would have issues with it potentially promoting drinking & driving. I still think it would be such a cool campaign. At 18yrs old I was just starting to train my eye on composition and how to market things in creative ways. Who knows, maybe one day ABSOLUT will see this and come to me to finally run it. A little tool I used at the time is called a “poor mans patent” and before I brought the image and presentation to TBWA, I sent it to myself certified mail and never opened it. If you ever have an idea you want to share but don’t have the means to protect it, that is one way.
