She had been chosen as one of a handful of women from the UK to join female leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine. for Homeward Bound: a global and prestigious leadership programme for women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Medicine (STEMM) to start action on sustainability issues. This is a yearlong programme that aims to train and empower women in areas that they are really underrepresented in. Areas like STEMM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine. The program culminates with an expedition to Antarctica!!! The skills these women develop on this programme will stay with them for life. They will us them to become a leaders in the battle against climate change and biodiversity loss. They all need to raise £17,000(!) to participate in the programme, so if you can support them, please do!
