I’ve been getting a few questions about shopping in the Médina, and asking if I would be posting any photos or videos of the shops to give a feel for the experience. To be honest, it’s not something I felt comfortable doing - plenty of locals there made it clear that they are not okay with appearing if even for a second on a video, and as a blogger and traveler I try to be respectful about that. Even when shooting in the states, I try my best not to have clearly visible strangers in my photos in the background. It’s a style choice for myself as much as an acknowledgement that they may not know that their image will be subjected to more eyes than the average vacation photo. I know plenty of photographers that can shoot in crowded spaces and create absolutely beautiful work, but it’s just not for me. So while you may not get to see the whole picture of Marrakech through my eyes, I hope you liked the glimpses you did get to see, and I looked forward to writing up as much as I can on the blog to dive in a little deeper and share the experience through words.」4月24日 0時41分
