always gentle and sweet, even in play
His stunning coat of deep brown
gave him an heir of royalty
To all that rode him, if lucky enough
he would render a beautiful stride, true loyalty
His stall may be empty now
and never will his shoes be replaced 
But the memory of his manner lives
