doeekathryn I've struggled with depression for most of my life, compounded by the suicides of a close friend as well as a former psychiatrist. Few people know that I was hospitalized after I realized that I had finished formulating my "plan." A few days into my stay, we saw Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spades tragic deaths on the news in the day room. I hated being there and all I could think about was getting out, but after that I knew I had done the right thing in getting help.

rochellelover Thank you Miss Brink for posting this. I knew a couple of beautiful people who unfortunately took their own lives and they seemed happy the whole time. It’s very sad. Hopefully this can help ❤️??

danceswithpug @mariabrinkofficial Thank you for sharing this. I lost my 19 year old son to suicide Oct 30, 2011. I post as much as I can about suicide awareness but it still is ignored by a lot of people

victor86750 One of the worst things to feel isnt just knowing someone that did it but knowing and doing nothing to help prevent it, i deal with it every april 21.
