How do you shoot the same area everyday and keep it interesting? A question I get quite a bit, while I’m not traveling or on commercial jobs - I find myself looking for inspiration in my “front yard” - That would be about a square mile surrounding the Manhattan Beach Pier. .
.
The Pier at sunset is always beautiful, but what I really enjoy is capturing the moments around it. The yogi, the surfer, the selfie, the other photographers…Those are the moments that give a sense of place and not just another pretty landscape. .
So scroll back over the last few weeks, you’ll see similar compositions, similar times of day…but different subjects, different moments captured that hopefully tell you a story about where I was and what I saw.
