Using the Nikon #D850, photojournalist @JoeAir17 shot slow-motion footage of lava exploding from Hawaii’s Fissure 17 while on assignment to document the eruptions. Interesting fact: This lava was made up of a completely different chemical composition to the other lava that came directly from Kilauea and Pu’u’o’o calderas, a composition never seen before on the island.
