85,000 CHILDREN have starved to death because of the entirely man-made famine in Yemen. More than 5 million more children are on the brink (over 20 million people total). Additionally, a cholera epidemic is imminent. And there aren’t enough votes in the GOP-controlled Senate to overturn Trump’s veto of the resolution to end US involvement and support for the Saudi-lead coalition responsible for this all. The new GOP isn’t pro-life, they are pro-power.

@thomas_sadoski soooo... BILLIONS of $ where raised in HOURS to rebuild a church in Paris. A church owned by THE WEALTHIEST ENTITY on Earth. But that very same entity, who, I might add, literally preaches “do unto others” does very little to aid in these poor children’s lives. All politics aside. This issue, SHOULD be a humanitarian effort led by that very same entity. Not solely left on the shoulders of certain countries, or the conscience of those who have compassion for these poor souls.

Thank you for keeping Yemen in people’s minds. I lived in Sana’a in 2008 and cannot say enough about the generosity and kindness of Yemenis or the beauty of their country. There is more than enough wealth in this world to end crises like this and provide every soul a humane level of existence. It is nothing more than narcissistic greed and war mongering that has created this suffering and so much more around the world. Thank you for fighting the good fight and raising awareness!

This is exactly why I just unfollowed Salma Hayek for proudly announcing her billionaire husband's "generous" donation to rebuilding Notre Dame. In the face of true human suffering, billionaires pat themselves on the back to rebuild a structure rather than save lives. It was deeply disappointing and disturbing, frankly. Thank you for forcing us to face the reality of the horrors that are all too easy to look away from

So much respect (as always) for how you use your platform for social good.
Three other great local Yemeni orgs we’ve come across that you/your followers may want to know about:
-Yemen Family Care Association
-Generations Without Qat (in Taiz)
-Girls Foundation (Hodeida)

Thank you so much for spreading awareness. Also Islamic relief is an awesome organization. Highly encourage others to donate through them as they're very transparent.

Strange question but are there any adoption agencies that are involved in the adoption of these needlessly suffering children who may have lost their parents?
