Laughter and smiles have replaced fear and tears in this school in Cambodia. In 2015, teachers at the primary school took part in the first positive discipline training sessions in the country. Positive discipline techniques include a “yellow card”, which is given to a student as a verbal warning while teachers model positive behaviour that their students can follow with kind words and no hitting. The school has also set up a disciplinary committee made up of students and teachers. These changes have led to improved relationships between teachers and students, as well as a drop in bullying incidents and peer to peer violence. #ENDviolence © UNICEF Cambodia/2018/Fani Llaurado
