I ended that year with a shattered heart in need of mending, reaching personal goals but still feeling stuck and going back to therapy to work on things and make amends with myself. It was 2017 and on November 21st I turned 30 and something clicked. Dunno what, dunno why... but something did. I organized a big party for my thirties and had the time of my life. Being surrounded by the most loving and caring people lifted me up so much that things, without me quite knowing why, began to fall into place. I ran into Netflix's various comedy specials. I devoured each presentation with a never ending hunger for more. And then... destiny. I watched a comedy special called "Freezing Hot". My mind was blown and so my vocal chords cause I could NOT stop laughing. Every one of her comedy special i saw was a sign pointing the direction I was destined to follow. Then one day, this amazing lady threw all her magic dust into a book called GIRL LOGIC which I got a signed copy. Girl Logic broke into my brain in ways I never thought anything could. Deconstructing and rebuilding new and more opened views, values and priorities. Not only of the world around me but, more importantly, of the world inside me. I learned I had finally found my call: to make people laugh. I was brought here to this place we call earth to be a comedian. Be it a good one or a bad one... my mind was set. So I took a Stand Up workshop and began building this new improved me. At the end of the workshop we would all go on stage and performed what we had all been working on. I nailed it. I have been performing at rotary shows, open mics and variety of places since December 5th 2018. This last five months have been an amazing rollercoaster. Someone once told me that people that matter find a way into your heart and leave a fingerprint on your skin. Well, you surely left yours on mine and I'm forever in debt. Thank You, @ilizas .
