Born of friendship: created by Aino Aalto in the 1930s, the Kirsikankukka fabric was inspired by a gift from her friend, the wife of the Japanese ambassador to Finland. It features a lovely floral pattern, from which it derives its name – Kirsikankukka means cherry blossom in Finnish.
