If they forget to take their completed homework to school... do you drop it off? If they want to go down the steep slide upside down and backwards, do you let them make that choice? 💜 Then there’s the gray area: choices that effect others, or could cause harm. Kids running around the park without shoes, teens staying up too late on a school night... the list could go on. 💜 Try to look at the situation within reason. Is your child developmentally capable of making this decision? 💜 Are the consequences too far in the future or harmful to another person to allow it to play out? 💜 Have you actually taught your child beforehand regarding the situation?
