The Arms are seen across the UK on coins, official buildings and Royal vehicles. After The Queen’s Coronation in 1953, the ‘Queen’s Beasts’ were created to illustrate Her Majesty’s ancestry. They include the unicorn of Scotland holding a shield of the old Royal Arms of Scotland. Sculptures of these beasts can be found at Westminster Abbey (where The Queen’s Coronation took place) and at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew.
