What led me to start the @KevinLoveFund? It was in large part my @playerstribune article that I published one year ago. Everyone Is Going Through Something. For the first 29 years of my life I thought of mental health as someone else’s problem. I wasn't aware of the response it was going to get and it showed me that there is a vast community of people struggling. That truly everyone is going through something. More than any other time in my career, I can confidently say...THIS is the number one thing that people have approached me for—and in doing so—share their personal stories. I felt that speaking publicly about this not only helped me, but many others. I want to find a way to further this discussion and help the masses. As basketball players and athletes, we have such a far reach on who we can impact. In starting this fund I believe can impact people in a very positive way.
