LIFE IN VOGUE: The Interior’s Cut 🖊️ Here‘s the fashion editor’s office interpreted by @jonathan.anderson @jw_anderson - ‘For Life in Vogue, I looked at ways of reinterpreting codes present in my collections for @jw_anderson - mixing classic British elements with modern twists and art. A 16th century Henry VII aumbry cupboard historically used by wealthy households to distribute leftover food to the poor and needy, placed between two large windows, is the focal point when entering the room. A 2018 hand-forged iron and silk artwork by artist Anne Low, entitled Dead Blood, occupies a corner of the room enclosed by walls painted in a yellow hue common in British stately homes. The juxtaposition of the historical and the modern is a signature for me, and in this take on a 2019 office I looked at deconstructing the codes of the stately home, stripping out the noise in those estates packed with art, furniture and objects. An elegant and simple desk made of oak with exposed wooden elements contrasting with its powder-coated pearlescent sheen sits low and central in the room atop a plush cream rug. Its height and position challenge the conventions of the typical office, as does the positioning of an oil portrait of a gentleman holding a volume of Petrarch (c 1530).’ #JonathanAnderson - photo by @delfino_sl Discover how to plan your visit via link in bio and stay tuned for more about #LifeInVogue Main partner @nemolighting ✨ @es_pr_communication @ps.designcunsultants Project partners @alcantara_company @guerlain @sancarloworld Thanks to @maschio_dei_cavalieri @lavazzaofficial @molinarisambuca Technical partners @baxtermadeinitaly @caparol_icons @texturaewallpapers」4月8日 21時57分 - vogueitalia
