A LONGCHAMP fan ? Read this and think again.
Still wanna buy ? do CHECK CAREFULLY before purchase.
Last Friday I was sold a leather bag with terrible scratches. It must have been used before being sold to me.
Unfortunately, I did not realise the scratches until later when I opened the bag. Since I tried on a perfect bag with no scratches/ wornout marks in store, I did not feel the need to carefully check the one that was nicely wrapped up and given to me at the point of purchase.
I came back on Sunday noon to exchange for the same bag of a better condition. The store manager Egle of the New Bond boutique refused to exchange due to the condition of the bag.
So ridiculously, Longchamp sold me a used bag and refused to take it back for the same reason !
The store manager's behaviours were also unacceptable. I requested to speak to her manager or at least know her manager's name. She insisted she does not have one, and then said different things like "her manager is in Europe", "her manager is on maternity leave" and "her manager has no email address". At one point she said "yes I can absolutely provide you with my manager's name and email" then came back to me with a generic customer support email. This is totally dishonest.
This is such a disgusting practice and not at all customer centric.
Logically, I could see why Longchamp can have those kinds of products in stock. When I came in previously to exchange my nylon bag for a leather one, the sales staff NEVER CHECKED the condition of that nylon bag but went straight to upsell the leather bag to me. Apparently this upsell-focused practice allows room for bags being returned in bad conditions. This indicates that Longchamp staff would rather take an upsell opportunity than refusing a bad return?
I own bags from many different brands, from ZARA, COACH, FURLA to DIOR, CHANEL, LV but this kind of practice is unprecedented and seems to only happen at LONGCHAMP !

@amy_brd_ perhaps you are the rare lucky person. 2 colleagues of mine got bad experience at Longchamp in general but not sure if it's bond st. Regardless it is bad from the top. Wrote to CEO and GM UK and they accused me of lying. They insisted they could see the bag with no scratches from cctv . Lol. Who on earth can see 360 degree of the bag and the scratches if it was just lying flat on the counter from cctv? They are beyond horrible

@wardouchki they are all bad . i wrote to CEO and General Manager of UK and they accused me of lying and implied that they could see 360 degree of the bag including the 4 bottom corners without scratches on cctv footage. No one can see 360degree of the bag and scratches from cctv . They could not even send me a photo as proof. How ridiculous!

@venicenguyen67 Terrible. I’ve had good service from several boutiques in the UK, France, U.S., and Switzerland. Very disappointed to hear about your experience.

@venicenguyen67 I’ve had outstanding service multiple times at the New Bond Street boutique - sorry you had a bad experience.
