Today, Vietnam veteran Lance Cpl. James Stogner received the Navy Cross for his actions on this day, 52 years ago.

After being concussed by a grenade and getting his nose broken by a round ricocheting off of his rifle, he continued to fight the enemy with his Ka-Bar to save his fellow Marine.
