Though the film classifies as ‘horror,’ that is merely due to the fact that the true nature of the events that occurred were so utterly horrific; the film itself is both psychological and spiritual dealing with the question of fate and whether or not we have the power to alter the course of our destiny. The plot is inspired by an actual quote from Tate, from an interview published a year before her death in Fate Magazine, wherein she reveals having dreams about ghosts haunting her house and foreseeing her own death.
