Well. I guess what qualifies me is... I’m a human. I’m a girl. I’m a woman. I’m a mother of a 10-year-old little boy. I’m raising a son. I’ve been through a divorce. I’ve felt powerless. I’ve been fired based on my appearance. I’ve felt wronged. Trapped. Scared. I lost my father very suddenly when I was 29. I’ve been an actor for almost 20 years. I’m a sister, a daughter, a boss. An employee. I know what it’s like to placate the powerful. I’ve been in unhealthy relationships, I’ve been in healthy relationships. I’ve been a victim in a sex crime and experience daily ongoing online attacks simply because of my gender & job. I’ve not been believed in the work-force because of my gender. I know what it’s like to not be protected by the laws and courts because the system is catching up to the crimes. I know what’s it’s like to feel the brokenness of the system and to not let it break my spirit or subtract from my self worth. I know what it’s like to not be believed. To feel alone. It is the most crazy making, maddening, helpless feeling one can feel. 📷 @stephanieschuster

I'm so sorry Abigail. I'm an old man now. But, in my youth, it seems that my calling was fighting abusers. So many of them. I was the call of last resort from the victims not of just abuse but, as you say, victims of a broken system. Always, I tried reason 1st. But that doesn't seem to be a language abusers understand.
