Interested in how I did this? I set up my tripod by the pool before the sun went down, locked the camera in position and took a photo of the JW Marriott before the lights in the windows were visible. Then I had a cheeky G&T while waiting for it to get darker (there was a pool bar so I wasn’t not going to use it). When guests started to turn their bedroom lights on, I took another photo but out of the three hundred or so windows, only about sixty were actually turned on so I had to duplicate a lot of the lights in the edit. Finally I took a photo of me holding the paper hands & controller over the pool (it was a quite windy so instead of getting the hands to move via stop-motion, I cheated and added in the movement in post). I merged those images together on various layers in After-Effects so that I could make each window light up and down on cue, then designed the Tetris effect and edited the paper hand movements accordingly #ad @MarriottBonvoy #MarriottBonvoy #MarriottAmericas #UnitedStories
